Karl Henrik, Johan Edvard, Gustaf Fredrik -Sweden

My ancestors in Sweden, Augusta Samuelsdotter and Johansson Borg had three sons that emigrated to America on November 26, 1883. The boys: Karl Henrik was born January 19, 1846, Johan Edvard was born Jaunary 12, 1868, and Gustaf Fredrik was born October 3, 1870. I would presume that Karl became Carl, Johan Edvard became John Edward, and Fredrik became Fredrick. Sometimes the names were reversed, i.e. John Edward would become Edward John. I have researched their ancestors in Sweden, and now I'm trying to located their descendants. When they emigrated from Sweden their name was spelled Borg, but changed to Berg. I have also found it spelled Burg, too. Though I have not substantiated this inclination, I suspect they followed the route of their cousins, through Warren Co. Illinois to southern California.
