Concerning Isaac Berg,
Just to try this out, wondering if this helps. There is a family history of Henry Jacob Berg of a small town of Rieffelbach? Bavaria in Germany, who came over prior to the Civil War. He served as a blacksmith in the Missouri Calvary. Often called Jacob he died in Pennsylvainia. Since someone mention the name Jacob Berg, I wonder if this could be any help. There is a rumor in my family history that Jacob came over with a cousin although no information has been found. Hope this helps.
