RE: Beresford Family in County Antrim

Just wondering if anyone is still trying to research the Beresfords from Country Antrim. Have been doing a little bit of detective work and my ggg grandfather William born approx 1820. From St Johns church records there also was another William Beresford in attendance at the vestry meeting of 1823. I am presuming this to be the generation previous because this would make my William only 3 and i would doubt if he would be old enough to attend vestry meetings!!!

Also have discovered another grave for a John Beresford all the details are that he was from Tobergill which is another townland from the same area and that he died in 1819.

Also if anyone has any information on a William Beresford,
1st Lord Denes, Born 1743 and died in 1819, would be most grateful. Have been doing research in the PRONI and have stumbled on this gentleman. He appears to have corresponded with the Earl of Masserene, this all would fall into place with the "Antrim" connection.

Any information would be gratefully received.

regards

Marion Beresford-Hanna
