Dear Debbie,

Yup, this looks like the Ohio clan. Beaver Co., PA is a few miles from Steubenville, OH where John B. and Matilda Culp settled (Derbyshire to Ireland to US) and the folks I think my John is connected to that I wrote about. See the additions to the Book of the Beresfords in the back.

A William B. age 37, and a Rachel B. age 16 are listed in the Henderson Co., IL census (same as John) in 1870. Could this be a connection to your family? Both were born in PA.

As for Des Moines, as I wrote part of the family moved to IA. Tom B. Kueny with whom I'm in touch lives there. I will forward your posting to him. So maybe Geo. and Phobe moved to IA and left the children in OH.

Also a coincidence?--my gmother had a brother, Lloyd, and one son was named Lloyd, although he died at age 19 working in wheat fields.

I would write Des Moines for the marriage certificate and see who the witnesses were.

Kay
