I've traced my GGGgrandfather, Robert H. Beresford to London, where he was baptised, along with his brothers, Richard and Samuel in the late 1780s-1790s. His parents appear to be Robert Beresford and Mary Faulkner, with father's parents being Richard Beresford and Martha, and his parents being Bartholomew Beresford, with a likelihood of his being another Richard Beresford. All of these except Richard (of Somerset), were christened or married in churches in the Westminster area of London. It seems that Robert and his brothers came to the US in the very late 1790s, with Robert going from NY to Philadelphia, PA, and his brothers going on to Cincinati, Ohio. Is there a Beresford out here that is researching either a London line, or one in PA or OH?
