A Caroline Benz (b. about 28 Mar 1848 in Germany) married my great-grandfather, Bernhard Busam (b. 18 Apr 1842, Nussbach, Baden, Gemany), in Chicago on 20 June 1872. They had two children: Edward and Anthony Ignatz. Bernhard died Sep 1882 and was buried on 27 Sep.
Caroline married Bernhard's brother, Stephen (Stefan) Busam (b. 02 Apr 1849) on 16 Nov 1884 in Chicago. They had one daughter, Rose Busam Babin. Stephen died on 01 Dec 1887.
Caroline died on 11 Jun 1939 in Chicago. She lived alone until her later years when she moved to live with Rose. The housing she lived in for many years was owned by Bernhard and Stephen's brother Ignatz.
Caroline is buried at St. Bonaface Cemetery, Chicago, from St. Michael's Church.
I have been unable to find any information about Caroline before her marriage so your posting was most welcome. I look forward to sharing more information with you.
