Need for some male Bentzel's to have their Y-DNA tested. This will help resolve some issues like the spelling variations, etc. I would do it but my Y-DNA is Haupt - which I have had tested. The test is rather simple - just a swab from the inside of your cheek and mailed to a lab.
My grandmother was a Pensyl/Bentzel from Northumberland Co., PA.
