John Bentz was born in Franklin County, PA, in 1820. He married Elizabeth Kingan in Allegheny County, PA , in 1843. They moved to Steubenville, Jefferson County, OH in the 1860s and are buried there. They had 3 children who grew to adult hood:
Annie Elizabeth Bentz b. 1849 - d. 1929 m. Thomas Burns
William Kingan Bentz b. 1852 - d. 1915
Harry Saylor Bentz b. 1854 - d. 1905
I don't know who Johns parents were. I'm interested in making contact with anyone doing this line.
