Anyone familiar with the Jacob and Elizabeth BENTZ buried in Funkstown Public Cemetery in Washington Co., MD? Inscriptions read:
BENTZ, Jacob age 87y, 10m, d. 23 Sept. 1827
BENTZ, Elizabeth age 80y, 6d, d. 28 Aug. 1828

A Washington Co. book "Distribution of Estate Accounts 1778-1835" indicated Jacob's heirs as: widow, Elizabeth Knight, Susanna Barr, Mary Short, John Morninger and wife, Jacob, Catherine Neikirk's heirs. Trying to determine if the above named Catherine Neikirk is my ancestor who married Michael Neikirk, died about 1826 and whose maiden name was reportedly "PENCE." Was it really BENTZ and Jacob and Elizabeth were her parents?
