My grandparents were from the Gregory SD are and my Grandmother was Magdalena Bentz, daughter of Philip and Christina Bentz who came to America in 1903. I have a history of this family done by aAlma Widderrich Washburn in 1988.It goes back to 1787 with Johannes Benz who married Christine Wetzler who had two daughters. The formate she uses is confusing to figure out, and there are many families who married brothers and sisters of each other. If you are interested, I could send you a copy of what I have. My family has little known about it and I would like to know more of what happened to the brothers and sisters of my grandmother and their children. Some of them went on to North Dakota i know, but I haven't followup up with them and they are getting older and dying. All the information you have would be helpful. I am trying to get copies of death announcements from newspapers and such for my history book of my family. Any help you know of who to contact is apprecited.
