I'm looking for Benton info....and since I saw James Wesley in your line, thought I'd respond. Asberry Green Benton was in Decatur, Morgan Co., AL, married Mary A. Russell in 1851. They had James Wesley Benton in 1853. Our James Wesley made his way to TX about 1895. Now, I've found another researcher with a James Wesley Benton, came to TX before 1884. He named his son Asberry Green Benton. He thinks his James Wesley was in Florida before going to TX. We know they aren't the same Asberry and James, but we sure think there must be a connection since Asberry Green is an unusual name. Since your Bentons were in AL and FL, we're wondering if you know of any siblings of Job, and/or any other children of Job. Thanks, Karen
