Hi Ann,
I am also interested in the Benthams of Canterbury, Kent. Lt. Gen William Bentham, born c 1761 was my 4xGreat Grandfather.
I didnot know Hannah's surname or when and where they were married. I thought she came from Canterbury too. I knew a little of William, George and Maria, but not of Frances, Charles and John, so thank you. I believed that George's wife was Emma Pellew Parker, rather than Parker Pellew.
We are descended from William's son William who married Mary (?surname). The son who was born in Feb 1786, was a Major in the R.A., died 1 Feb 1832, buried Charlton Churchyard. He had a son and grandson, also called William. Major William's daughter, Jane married my 2xG Grandfather, Michael Martin.
