Your information is essentially correct. Joseph was probably born more ca 1710 or thereabouts. I do not believe his wife was Mary Lassitor. Her identity is unproven at this time, but a possibility is Susannah Stockley, dau of John Stockley. Joseph's dau Rhoda (who married James Vinson) named sons Benthall Vinson and Stockley/Stokely Vinson. Obviously Benthall Vinson was named using her own maiden name; perhaps Stockley was her mother's maiden name? It is an unusual surname and does not seem to have any connection with the Vinson family. But, as I say, it is not really proven. Joseph may have married in Va before the move to NC which seems to have taken place between 1744 and 1747. Your list of children is correct, but there may have been a son Azell who died bef 1779?
I have not had time to look up those early Benthall wills that you asked about. They are published, but if you don't have access to them, contact me again and I will try to look them up next week.
