There may be no connection between your Benson family and mine as I don't know what year your mother was born, etc. but my father's family was listed in the 1880 Michigan census. Most of my father's older brothers and sisters were born in Iowa but, for some reason, they stopped in Michigan on their way back to Maine and I thougt that, perhaps, they had relatives there. There are simularities in names of your famly and mine also. My father's name was Lewis Bernard Benson and his brother's name was William Augustus Benson. My fatherwas born in Buckfield, Maine in 1883. His brother, William, was also born there. My grndparents also came from Maine. Do you think there is any connection? Do you know where your grandmother was born?
