I have a dead end with my two TN Benson ancestors who immigrated to Walker CO. Al around 1831. They are father and son:

Benson, Robert, born 11 Sep 1796, Sevier County, TN
Benson, William H., born 23 Feb 1828, Ray (Rhea) County, TN

Their Sevier - Rhea immigration pattern is similiar to the Spencer Benson clan but I cannot find any concrete links.
