This William Benson married Mary Ervin or Erwin in Frederick Co., Va., in 1782. He was in Monongalia County (actually the portion that became Preston County in 1818) by 1787. He died in 1812 or 1813. He is supposed to have had daughters Mary and Sarah, but I do not find who they married.
