I am looking for information about Francis Benson born abt. 1804 in NY. Or any siblings to the Bensons listed from the following census information. Francis appears in all of these.
1850 Census in Broome County, Conklin Twp, NY with his wife Polly, Levi Titus, and Louisa Benson
On the 1860 Census in Broome County, Kirkwood Twp, NY with a wife Maria Benson Born abt. 1818 (or Salamaria), Rivo Titus Born abt. 1839, and Herbert Benson Born abt. 1849
On the 1870 Census in Broome County, Windsor Twp, NY with a wife Maria Benson Born abt. 1818 (or Salamaria), Laura Benson Born abt. 1859, Herbert Benson Born abt. 1849, Delia Benson Born abt. 1850, and Lilah Benson age 3 months.
I beleive the Herbert Benson listed is his son because Francis is listed in the 1880 Census as follows. It is believed that Dr. James H. Benson (listed below)is actually Herbert based on this information. (Herbert may be his middle name)
