Here's my information on Rev. James Franklin Benson,
Donald Pate posted most of the information on the forum previously, message #643 on March 8, 2000.
James Franklin Benson, born Apr20, 1844 on Cedar Creek, Franklin Co, Ala. married Sarah Raburn on Nov. 2, 1865. She was born May 5, 1844 and died Dec 7, 1898. He died Dec 23, 1932. They are both buried at Providence Cemetery, near Tremont, Itawamba Co.
Their Children:
William Thomas, born May 25, 1868, died Apr 8, l955, married Leigh Reich, his second wife was Lilly Lawson Benson.
Ellis Jordan Benson, born Nov. 20, 1871, died Mar 22, 1939.
Married Emma Dulaney.
Marcus Cidney, born Nov. 9, 1873, died Sep 19, 1921, married Daisy Burch, she died Sept 4, 1960.
R.Perry, born Jan 6, 1875, died Mar. 14, 1898, never married
he died from pneumonia.
James Garvin, born Jan 6, 1879, died Jan.22, l955, he married Fannie Parker on Dec. 24, 1902.
There also were a daughter named Martha, who died about 2 yrs of age. and a son Cyrus who died at about 17 years. I do not have their birthdates or death dates.
Lane Milton born Nov 25, 1883, died Sept. 12, 1956. He married first Cleopatra Hargett, she was born Nov. 1882 and died Aug. 21, 1914. He next married Laler Lonie Ford on Nov.29, 1914. She was born Nov. 9, 1899 and died Jan 2, 1984.
Lane Milton Benson was my grandfather, and I have most of the information on all his children.
I would be most interested in any information on Nancy Price.
