My grandmother Annie Farmer was born on or about May 23,1917 in Rottenrow Maternity Hosp in Glasgow, Scotland. Her mother was Lily Farmer and on her adoption papers her father is listed as a Thomas Benson,protestant, origin/heritage/whereabouts/unknown. He may have been a soldier, may have been of Scottish/English/Irish descent. Lily Farmer died at age 26/27 August 29,1923. My grandmother was adopted by the Quarrier's home and shipped to Canada when she was only 15 years old.
