I think as I recall that Georges Grandfather came from England. Of course that could have been just the starting point for the voyage, as I seem to recall that somewhere I saw where some one came from Holland. I dont have all my info right now as my nephew in Tenn took it home with him to study. I should get it back in a couple weeks at our family reunion and I will get info to you.
My nephew is a Civil War fanatic and he and my brother went over to Droop Mountain Battle Field where Wade Ampton was captured and got a book on the battle listing Wade in it. I guess that Wades Brother Calvin was in the Union Calvary.
