I do appreciate your help on this. My son-in-law asked me to look into and at his BENSON surname in GA.
From what I have seen so far is that several of the BENSON lines start out together and slowly seperate on the trail after leaving VA.
If you have a better handle on this family by all means I need to hear from folks who have already traveled those trails that can give me some idea of where I should follow on those trails.
I have always told the newbies to our hobby that "everyone leaves a paper trail. Everyone. We genealogists just have to know where to look for that paper trail."
