Marcel,

By "the 'latter'", I meant that I wasn't convinced that "Pascal" was any variation of the first name of Charles. Thank you for the data on other versions of my own last name. I have become somewhat of an expert on that subject and long ago learned the value of the Tanguay books (although I am no longer close enought to consult the sets of thes books at any time wished). Admittedly, I could use some help on a later migration who lived the Laprairie area for a relatively short time during the early to mid 1800's, and who might be listed on some of the Church records you have consulted. But I wouldn't presume to bother you with issues other than the research of your choice, and hope to pick your own brain regarding other variations of Charles (such as the latin "Carolus" or the like).
