Hi,
I hope that someone can help me with a lot of the ? that I have in the family history of a certain branch of the Benoît family. This is what I have (although I have more details, but will just do this for the moment):
1 Claude Benoît (Benoist) (abt. 1610-abt. 1680)
Born: St. Prix de Montmorency, Île de France, France (in Paris Region); Died: probably St. Prix
+ Wife: Anne Fontaine (abt. 1610-abt. 1680)
Born: St. Prix de Montmorency, Île de France, France; Died: where? France.
Married abt. 1630 in St. Prix de Montmorency, Île de France, France.
They had 1 son that I have been able to find:
2 Gabriel Benoît (Benoist) dit Laforest (Oct. 26, 1636-Oct. 27, 1686)
Born: St. Prix de Montmorency, Île de France, France; Died: Trois-Rivières, PQ age 50.
Came over to Canada sometime before October 1662.
+wife: Marie-Anne Guédon (Guesdon) (?, 1641-Mar. 22, 1732)
Born: Magny-en-Vexin, Normandy, France; Died: Yamachiche, PQ age 91
Orphan daughter of Thomas and Isabelle (de Morin) Guédon (Guesdon)
She came over to Canada as a “Fille du Roi” (King’s Daughter), sponsored by Louis XIV), landing on Oct. 2, 1665 at Quebec City on the ship, “Le Vaisseau de Normandie”
Married: Oct. 26, 1665 in LaTouche (Champlain) Trois-Rivières, PQ.
He was 29; she was 24.

Gabriel Benoît and Marie-Anne Guesdon had 6 children: 4 daughters and 2 sons, of which:

Joseph Benoît and Marie-Madeleine Burel died on the same day probably killed during the siege of Quebec City by the British in 1759.

Moved to Oak Lake, Manitoba (Lac-des-Chênes) in April 1889.

I have more detailed information on the above, but would really appreciate it if anyone can help me with anything missing.
