I'm looking for details of Peter Bennison - only date I have is that he died prior to 1881 when his wife Eleanor (nee Pattison) was noted in census as a widow. Eleanor was born approx. 1824 in Leeds. They had at least 3 children -
Mary Anne b 1843 m Henry Thompson (died while mayor of Darlington 1892) d Darlington 1901;
Eliza (my greatgrandmother) b 1857 Hopetown (Darlington), m John Bibby, d 1896 6 King St, Darlington. Also resided at 24 Archer St, Darlington where 2 sons were born 1890 & 1893.
brother Thomas Bennison b approx. 1869, Barnard Castle, Durham.
Would welcome any info. on any of the above. My grandfather Albert Bibby (son of Eliza and John) emigrated to NZ in 1914.
Wondered whether you had any info. on this family?
