Joseph Benning. Born August 14th 1850, Married Emma Walsh.....
They had a total of 13 children. 6 died in childhood. Of the seven remaining
one Helena Benning entered the Sisters of Charity of Halifax and took the
name of Sister Mary Albertine. Died ...buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Suzanne Marie Benning Born May 10th 1873. Lived at St.Pierre. Married George
Henry Frecker...After George's Death...she moved to Nova Scotia. She died on
July 22nd, 1944.She had 4 children,
John Peter Frecker. Born May 15th,1897 at St.Pierre Moquelon. He lived in
Montreal. Married Bernadette Lussier. John died there on March 24th, 1974.
Emma Marie Frecker. Born Sept.1st,1903 at St Pierre Miquelon. Graduated from
High School there in 1919.After joining the Sisters of Charity in Halifax,
Sister Agnes Therese Frecker taught in Quebec. She received her masters
Degree in French in 1942 from Laval University. Retired to Mother House at
Halifax. Celebrated her Golden Anniversayin May 1975.
George Alain Frecker.Born June 29th1905 at St Pierre.Married Helena Mary
McGrath August 10th 1933. (It would take 2 pages to list all his Degrees) He
is the Alain Frecker that we heard of and the father of the 5 of 8 that I met.
Charles Andrew Paul Frecker Born Aug,27th 1906 at St. Pierre. He was ordained
to the priesthood at Holy Heart Seminary, and celebrated his First Holy Mass
in Mount Saint Vincent Chapel at Rockingham N.S. on June 23,1933.
