Hi Carolyn
In my first message I made a mistake on the year of marriage I don't have a lot of info but Mary Freeman married John W Benight Mar.16 1834 in mo I found this on Family search. The Freeman ancestry I have states that John was from Oklahoma and that the son John H Bennight had submitted an application to the Mississippi Choctaw in 1902 Muskogee Ok.I have been trying to find where I can get a copy of it.I think that Joseph is John's and Mary's son so we have made a connection.
