Melissa: Wingrove BENNETT was my grt,grt,grt. grandfather. He married Elizabeth CARRICO. She was born in (Washington Co., Kty.) in 1806. As far as the family records, they did not have a son named Charles T. BENNETT, but that does not mean they didn't. Eliz. would have been 17 if she had given birth to Charles, and since there is no record of marriage for Wingrove/Elizabeth it could have been possible. The family believes they were married in (Sullivan Co.) Indiana, but records were destroyed when the courthouse was burned . Their son, James McCarthy BENNETT, Sr. is my grt,grt, grandfather. James was born 24 Mar 1826, Sullivan Co., Ind. There were lots of Bennetts and Carricos in Indiana--Sullivan Co., and surrounding counties.
Wingrove was born in Bath, Berkley Co., VA. We have found him in Dekora Twp., Columbia Co., Wisc. between 1850-1855 (WI. census) but not after that date. Eliz. was there between 1860-1865, but not 1870. Their son James owned land in Wisconsin . He was also listed in the 1840 WI in Dekora Twp., Columbia Co.census w/parents, brother-Manson A. (bc)1834/Ind. & sister-Cyntia bc1828, Ind.
Wingrove was s/o Thomas BENNETT & Susannah MARQUIS. (I have no parents for this couple)

Carrico, abt. 1825, Ind.; 5) Martha Marquis B., b: 17 Apr 1803, Bath, marr: Isaac Ellesbury, 5 Aug 1830, Dearborn, Ind.; 6) Susannah B., b: 1805, Bath, Marr: James Gill, 1828, Sull. Co., Ind.; 7) Vance B., b 30 Apr 1806, Bath, marr: Eliz. Armstrong, abt 1827, Sullivan Co., Ind.
I do have data on children of the above, and I do have data on Charles T. BENNETT mar: Deliah Booker on 23 may 1842, Carlisle, Sull. Co., Ind. Charles T. Bennett was born 20 Apr 1823, near Carlisle, Sull. Co., Ind. died: 12 Nov. 1906 same, 83yr6mo22d.
But I do not have parents for Charles: It is suspicious that Charles/Delilah named their 1st son: Wingrove. I will put your name/e-mail address in my BENNETT file so I can keep in touch with you.
