There is a photo of a property document dated 10 August 1886 on website http://www.familychest.co.uk/default.htm (use surname search) it concerns the following people: John BREEDON of Edgeley, Parish of Cheadle, Cheshire. Shopkeeper. George BENNETT of Stockport, Cheshire. Wholesale Grocer. SUBJECT John Breedon is mortgaging property in Edgeley to George Bennett for £170. We are told that Bennett is a trade supplier of Breedon's shop, but that the latter has become indebted to George Bennett who is now obtaining formal security for his loans. The property being mortgaged is a dwellinghouse at number 125 Castle Street, Edgeley, Cheadle. This appears to have come into John Breedon's hands in 1875. A second indenture dated 1892 added on the back records that by this date the debt has risen to £196/5/1d and that John Breedon is selling the mortgaged property to George Bennett in settlement of the debt.
