I Willam Bennett Senr.of the County of Baren & State of Kentucky Being much indisposed & week in body but of sound mind & memory & understanding do ordain & publish this my last will & testament as followeth: To Wit, First I give & bequeath unto my oldest son STEPHEN BENNETT black mare & her last spring colt Also my Negro girl named Hagar also my feather bed & furniture together with all and singular my household furniture with one (?) weeding hoe also my saddle. Item I also give unto my said son Stephen all my right and title to the headright of plantation whereon I FORMERLY lived and also one hundred and twenty acres on Puncheon Camp Creek backwaters f Big Bafrren River in Ten State and also nine ead of cattle (?) kind Item I give and bequeath unto my son JOHN BENNETT one hundred dollars whih he is ? for certain black horse Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th of September 1806.........

The land mentioned lying in Tennessee, Puncheon Camp Creek, I have not found. After checking with Green County and several others, no deeds came to light. There is a Stephen Bennett on the 1820 Bedford County TN census

Stephen Bennett, son of Wm Bennett, had a son James Bennett.
James Bennett died in Barren County after 1850 - His first wife was Julia Key of Clarke County KY. He later married Nancy Malone in Barren County (I have the marriage documents for both marriages) Price Key, the father Julia Key, also died in Barren County
1799 - Clarke County KY Deed Wm Bennett of Berkeley County VA to Anthony Moore
In this deed Wm Bennett is selling 350 ac situate in the County of Clark in Kentucky "and lying on the Waters of Johnson's Fork of Lcking (being part of thousand acre survey in the name of Van Swearingen DECEASED, on a preemption Warrant and also that part of said tract fell to said Bennett by DIVISION OF LOT BETWEEN THE CHILDREN & DEVISES OF VAN SWEARINGEN...
The Clark County KY deed may not be the same Wm Bennett that I have found in Barren County ---
