Further to the Chamberlain/Benner connection:
I suspect that Edwin Chamberlain, Jr. and Forest C. Benner were friends prior to enlisting for WW I. Forest's parents were Charles and Catherine.

Benner Charles, M, M, head, b. Jun 25, 1873; age 27
Benner Catherine I., F, M, wife, b. Jan 28, 1878; age 23
Benner Charles F., M, S, son, b. Apr 10 1898; age 2
Benner Joseph T., M, S, son, b. Dec 14 1900
Neighbours: McPhee, Kirkpatrick, Burrows and Lapiere, Carnmichael, Miller
There was also a son,Whitman George Benner for about 1918 and possibly a daughter, Caroline.
I would like to make contact with descendants of this Benner line to arrange a visit in the summer of 2005.
