I am looking for Wilhelmina BENNER, (b) 20 Jan 1819 in Hess, Darmstadt, Germany. She died 2 Apr 1883 in Jarrettsville, MD, and is buried in the Jarrettsville Cemetery next to her husband John Spies.
Her maiden name was found on one of the three death certificates that I have of her children. She had seven children. I still have two to get from PA, and one to get from MD.
My two cousins in MD think she is the daughter of Christian BENNER, but there is nothing to point to this.
Her first child was born 23 Nov 1839, so they very easily could have gotten married in 1839 or 1838. One child George did not appear in the 1870 census.
I would like very much to find a connection to her, she has been extremely elusive, as her husband.
What is also interesting that I cannot find a connection to her husband, especially since I know of most of her descendants for three generations of Spies.

John F. Spies (b) 1841 married Anna E. Winters
Charles Christian Spies (b) 19 MAR 1844 married Sophia Spies- 1st cousin
William H. Spies (b) 15 JUL 1846 married Hannah Barber
Christiana E. Spies (b) 31 Aug 1848 married William Harver
George Spies (b) 1851 No other mention in census or other.
Sarah M. Spies (b) 25 DEC 1852 married to my Great Grandfather John Durham Thomas
If you have any information I would greatly appreciate this.
There are a lot of BENNER's and Spies in this country today, but very few of these names are on the immigration lists.
If you have this name in your data base or ever come across it, PLEASE let me know.
