I am greatgrandson of Winfield Benjamin Benner (c. 1854-1926)and Lydia Johnson via their son Clayton George Benner (c. 1881-1953, who was my grandfather.
Winfield handed down a "Civil War" drum that was given to him by Lydia's mother, 'Grandma Johnson'. I had the drum, but have now passed it on to my son (living. A digital picture of the drum and of the handwriten "Story of the Old Drum" are available.
I also have a certified copy of a land patent for 160 acres in then Dakota Territories that was issued to Leander Benjamin Benner, Winfield's father, in 1880.
I am looking for siblings of Winfield, his wife, and their families. Also any details on their ancestors.
Will trade whatever I have/find.
