Does anyone know the name of a book in the Baltimore Public Library that has an article on Dr. Chandos M. Benner?
It starts "...Benner...family...has been traced back to 841 A.D. and its Frankist antecedents. At that time lived, Artois von Benner, a captain of armed horsement under King Lothaire.
Other names are Waldemar der Benner; Dietselm der Benner; Ulrich der Benner; Valentyn and his wife Margaret who established residence in Rhinebeck, New York.
We will be going to the Allen County Library in Ft. Wayne, IN soon and we'd dearly like to look at this book. Don't know if there is a relationship with this family, but as we all know, it doesn't hurt to check out each possibility.
