To all Benners:
We have found a nephew of PFC Benner's, his sister's child, so not a Benner by name. It seems PFC Benner was not married, the family knew the young lady mistakenly listed as his wife, and PFC Benner had no children.
If and when any sort of recognition comes about for PFC Benner (this IS the Army after all - it works in strange and mysterious ways), I'll do better and post an announcement on this forum to let everyone know how the story comes out.
