Hi Sally,

I wish I could tell you the answer, but I don't really know. According to "Migratory Benners" Henry (Heinrich) BENNER, d.1793, would be the father of the Christian BENNER b.1765 who migrated to Ross County, Ohio. (We are in Montgomery Co., OH) We have tried to find a connection between our BENNER families but haven't at this point. We have wondered if our (John)Christian BENNER might be a brother to Henry because it appears they would be in the same generation and their children have very similar names. (John) Christian BENNER's October 7, 1802 will (recorded March 5, 1803) lists the following children. John, Christian, Jacob (my husband's 2nd great grandfather), Daniel, Henry, Mary TRUMBER (TRUMBOR), Caty (Catherine) CRITER, Anna FILSS (FELSS),Mary HUNTSBERGER (HUNSBERGER), Barbara (Mrs. John GAUFF-GOUGH-GOUFF-COUGH), and Elizabeth BENNER. Do any of these names sound familiar?

Shirley Benner
