Nancy,

I have no specific information on your Fanny Benjamin but Nathan can be found in the 1880 Census. The census for Bridport, Addison County, Vermont shows Nathan Kane as a dry goods peddler who was born about 1832 in Prussia and living with wife Amelia (born about 1843 in Baden, Germany) and four children, i.e., Bertha (b. ~1865 in Vermont), David (b. ~1867 in Vermont), Carrie (b. ~1869 in Vermont), and Lena (b. ~1876 in Vermont). I have previously seen nothing on this Benjamin lineage in the available web based genealogical records. I will continue to look for an Amelia Benjamin as being your Fanny and see what I can find. It is also possible that Nathan had remarried Amelia by 1880 possibly due to the death of Fanny. Hope this helps some.

A. J. Benjamin
