Lizzie Ada Phelan( my Grandmother) was born in 1901 and died in 1971 and worked for many years as a Manageress in the old Jo Lyons teashops in Hammersmith and Acton. I am trying to track down any information about the Benham side of her family.

I only have a little information. Amongst her siblings were twins who in their later lives lived in Shepherds Bush. There was also a brother who I believe settled in Canada and I remember seeing him when I was a child. There was also a brother killed in World War 1 called William.

Lizzie first married a man called GOULD (surname). Sadly this man was not well mentally and spent most of his life in a mental hospital. Lizzie met EDWARD PHELAN and they eventually married and they had one son NORMAN PHELAN (my father)

If anybody has any further information about this line of the Benham family please can you post or let me know.
