I am trying to find info on a George Robert (G.R.) Benge. He married my grandmother Alice Holland Bond, daughter of Israel C. Bond and Alice A Massey. I have found only a few census reports listing george and alice together. they were listed in the family bible as being married on 12-29-1914 but not where they were married. they lived in fayetteville, N.C. for awhile. one census report had then in oklahoma city, ok. I think he was born in texas about 1881 but another report i found states 1884 and in oklahoma. George was listed on the census reports as a retail furniture salesman. He left the family while my mom was a baby. she doesn't know anything about his side and was not allowed to ask her mother any questions. my mom received two letters from George in 2-1950 when he was living at a hotel in memphis tn so he was still alive then. we have no info on when he died or where. we know of no family of george benge. if anyone has any info on george benge or where else i can look i would appreciate it.
