Hi Lorene-
Sorry, I don't check the Benge forum often. I don't know that Robert Benge had a daughter, Agnes. My Agnes 'Nancy' Edmondson Benge was named for her grandmother Agnes Holmes who was certainly not an Indian.
If your Agnes was born about 1850, then she can't be the daughter of John Benge the trader or Robert Benge, his son. Robert was killed before 1800, which is well documented, and his father, John died later. There is no record of the date of his death that I know. I believe he died abour 1812 or so, but that's just supposition on my part.
Your Agnes might be the daughter of John Wagonmaster Benge. I would suggest that you check out Jim Hicks' Cherokee Pages online for a start with the families of John Benge the trader's Indian children. I don't know a lot about them except the ones with whom my ancestors, who were John's white family, had contact.
Have you looked at any of the Cherokee Rolls?
Sorry I can't be more help.
Anita
