Sorry, I don't know anything about the Guttroff family. Mathilda Benes's married name was mentioned in her aunt's will in 1941. Her aunt Mary Benes lived in Queens.
Mathilda's father Frank Benes was a butcher at 1373 First Avenue in Manhattan in an 1890 directory. Her uncle Josef, my husband's ancestor, owned a bakery at 425 E. 72nd St.
