Thank you for your reply. The Isaac Benefield that I am inquiring about was born approx. 1833 in Madison Co. Indiana married to Elsie Shaw. They had 5 children. He later married Gertrude Simmons and had one daughter.

If this is any help to you I am very happy. Please let me know if this is the Isaac Benefield that is in your family. If not they could be related.
