Les - I am just as lost as you are. I am looking for a connection with the Sherman family. Minnie L. Benedict married Daniel Bailey Sherman (as near as I can tell, about 1860). Where ? Unknown. Was Minnie a daughter of your George? Where did Lemuel get his given name, "Sherman"? Daniel and Minnie had a daughter named May. (or Mae) she was born near Seenandoah, Page county, Iowa in 1891. Her nickname was, "Lizzie". Lizzie was my grandmother... Was Minnie perhaps a daughter of your George ?? I feel like I'm getting close. perhaps you can give me some answers... Thanks, - Stan
