William Case Benedict b 1818 Fredericksburg.
1st wife, Rachel Bush d 1854- 2nd wife Delia Lucinda Lewis, married 1858 in Magnolia, WI had four children: Amos Lewis, Lydia, Edith Almira and Norman PRINGLE Benedict.
He served during the Civil War, 1st enlistment with CO.E 5th Reg't Wisconsin Vols. 2nd enlistment CO K 12th Reg't Iowa Vols. Enrolled as a substitute. Would like info on Williams parents. Father's name Ared Benedict. Believe the family is connected to the PRINGLE line from Upper Canada.
