The book "Genealogy of the Benedicts in America Vol II page 124 has the family.
Her father was Amzi Benedict born Sept 14, 1826, m. June 12, 1856 Catherine Courtland, dau of John I. Walrath, Merchant of Chicago. he d. Apr 20 1913. She d. Aug 13, 1907. resided Lake Forest. Children were l. Willie W. b June 27, 1857 d. 1942 UNM, 2. Enella K. b. Dec 21, 1858, d. 1942 UNM. Artist. She was one of the original residents of Hull House, the settlement house in Chicago founded by Jane Addanes, and lived there nearly 50 yrs. teaching art to people of the neighborhood. She also taught at the Chicago Art Institute.
