Thanks, I grew up in Faulkner Co., AR, I think that Lavisa Love Benedict died young. I know that her daughter Emma made her home with Lavisa's sister Elizabeth Love Harton--and I guess various other relatives. I remember her visiting in Conway when I was a small child. After Elizabeth Harton died, she stayed in Quitman, Cleburne Co., AR, with Calista Harton, an old maid who lived well into her nineties. Apparently there was more than one George Benedict, and I have had trouble following this family.
