I am searching for information on my Benedict line.
My GG-Grandmother Allie/Allice Benedict was born in New York and moved with her family to the Medina Cnty, Ohio area. Allie was b. 5/5/1853 & died 1942. I believe I have found her and her family in the Medina Ohio 1870 census and it shows an Andrew C. Benedict 42 NY, Hellen M. 39 NY, Fredie 7/12 OH, Henry 12 NY and Allice 17 NY. I do believe this is my GG-Grandmother, but are unsure if Andrew and Hellen are her parents. My mom was given a note book that had been Allie's and it mentions Fred and Henry, but does not mention the names of her parents. We thought they were John and Anna Benedict and I have found nothing on them except pictures...one of which is in Allies handwritting and it states on the back that it was her grandmother Anna Ganet-Benedict.
Which leads me to believe that John and Anna were her grandparents not her parents. Also mentioned in the note book was a Milo Benedict and an Ethel Benedict b. abt. 1878.
Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
