Benedicts in America Vol I, page 419 has Smith born Sept 7, 1798, married May 13, 1828 Margaret dau of Peter Cole, she died Nov 13, 1833 and he married second March 25, 1835 Dorcas (Trickey) Cole, Dorcas was married first to Paul Cole who died Oct 19, 1833. Your William born Oct 19, 1837 served 3 years in Mich Regt, resided in Lexington Mich. In Canada the town listed is Shannonville, so guess the name you are looking for is Trickey, Finding her marriage record either to Paul Cole or to Smith should give you her parents names. Doesn't say if there is relationship between Margaret Cole and Paul Cole but he may have married his sister in law after both their spouse died, Smith died Apr 9, 1889 Dorcas born May 20, 1813 and died Oct 20, 1888
