I may be fishing here a bit, so please pardon me if I have the wrong line. I have been searching for my grandfathers parents, without much success at all.

His name was James Maloy (Sp?)and I know his mother was Lydia Ann(e) Johnson. I have two accounts of his birthplace and I can't confirm one or the other. One says he was born in MO, the other says in Muscatine, IA.

Siblings were (as far as I can prove): George, Ellis, Mary, Linney (sp?), and Charles. My grandfather was born 1898, if that helps at all.

The only records I have on him are his SS # and whatever accounts I can get from my aunts and uncles, which is very conflicting information to say the least. No one seems to know where his death certificate is or even his obituary.

So if either of you can help, I would appreciate it, and if I am in the wrong line, I apologize. Thanks!
