The "Benedicts in America" Vol I page 38 has your Mariam Benedict who married Wiliam Brunt in 1863 and died 1865.
She was dau of John Keeler Benedict b. Apr 23, 1820; m. 1847 Susannah Morgan; went to Calif in 1852 and d. in 1853. Evidently only the one child.
John Keller is son of Stephen S. Benedict b. Dec 18, 1781; m. Sep 27, 1808 Miriam, dau of Joseph and Miriam Waldron, B July 3, 1787, Greenville, and d. March 1854. Ch all born in Greenville. He d. Dec 24, 1828, Ottawa, Ill
This Stephens line given on back to Stephen, Stephen, Samuel, Thomas, Thomas
