I'm looking for more information about the children (and grandchildren) of Joseph Mills Bendall. I know there were at least seven children: Thomas M., Blanche L., Lottie B., Ida B., Joseph T., Lewis Parker and Alvin Monteith. Joseph's wife was Mary (Molly) Parker of Porters Crossroads in Sussex Co. Virginia. Joseph was the son of George Bendall and Susan Rebecca Tucker of Greenville Co. and Sussex Co. Virginia. Joseph's dates: b. 8/22/1836 VA d. 5/24/1901 Memphis, Shelby Co. TN.
Blanche married Jefferson F. Williamson, Lewis married Elsa Lois Schmidt Brandt and Alvin married Harriett Elizabeth Lang, but I don't know who Lottie married. I believed she married in Memphis in the late 1800's. Also, would like to know if Ida ever married. She moved to Washington DC but I don't know if she married there.
I don't know what happened to Thomas. I believe he moved to Pennsylvania, but don't know where or who his kids were.
I also would like to know if Lewis was married to anyone prior to marrying Elsa. His employment record in New York City indicates there may have been another wife and child.
I have heard that Joseph and Molly were living in Hopkinsville, KY when Molly died. Apparently Joseph stayed in Kentucky, but sent the children to live with another family in Memphis. I don't know who the family was and was hoping someone would have their name.
Do the names ring a bell with anyone?
